Gabela, a rich archeological site on the Neretva bank! Situated five kilometres south of the Čapljina City!
Among a great number of notable mideval buildings, there are still remains of old City walls, as well as a sculpture of a stone lion – a symbol of Venetian culture.
For its remarkable geostrategic position, Gabela was linked to the most famous Homer's work. Mexican archeologist Roberto Salinas Price has claimed that Gabela was actually ancient Homer's Troy.
